Ford Taurus Mobsteel
Leading the not-a-Mustang charge is Ford's new flagship sedan, the Taurus, and leading that group is Mobsteel. Taking the term "blacked out" to the nth degree, Mobsteel has blacked out every inch of the car save for the wheel centers and badging, which is done up in brushed aluminum. If enough light escapes the black-on-black paint job, you might be able to see the custom fascias, but if you don't, the Magnaflow exhaust will make sure you hear it. That and other under-hood work have Mobsteel hoping to make more than 420 hp out of the SHO's twin-turbo V-6. Massive 22-in. wheels and an adjustable air suspension complete the look while a JL Audio sound system provides the in-car entertainment.
Tommy Z Designs Ford Taurus
Next up for the Taurus lineup at SEMA is a car from Tommy Z Designs. The tuner promises luxury, but all we really know about the car so far is what we can see. That includes a blacked-out hood and massive five-spoke wheels wrapped in tiny tires.
MRT-Direct "Best of SHO" Taurus

Opting for a sleeper rather than a hitman's car, MRT-Direct's "Best of SHO" keeps it clean and subtle. A custom hood with scoop, new ground effects, a black cherry-painted roof and a lowered stance with new wheels and tires give the "Best of SHO" a sharper, edgier look without getting gaudy. A custom exhaust system and some tuning of the turbocharger system gives the car a bit more go while a Kicker audio system will duel with that custom exhaust for audible supremacy.
Signature Series Ford Fusion Sport

Standing right next to the Taurus in Ford's spotlight is the company's revamped Fusion, and Ford is showing it off with a trio of tuner cars. The first comes from tuner Aaron Vaccar, who's created his Signature Series Ford Fusion Sport by building an impressive sleeper. Sure, the big wheels and skinny tires might draw attention, but the turbocharger added to the already-potent 3.5L V-6 will let you pull car lengths while they're still thinking about those wheels. Inside, Vaccar went big on the sound system but was careful to fully integrate it into the truck so as to look stock to the untrained eye.
T4 Ford Fusion

Joining Vaccar's Fusion will be another car from MRT-Direct dubbed the T4. In an attempt to balance performance and fuel economy, MRT opted to start with a four-cylinder, manual transmission Fusion, then turbocharge it to nearly 300 hp and add a custom Max-Flow exhaust system. H&R coilovers and 20-in. wheels take on handling duty while a Kicker audio system handles the entertainment. Special black accents on the paint and enhanced interior trim complete the look.
M&J Enterprises Ford Fusion Hybrid
M&J Ford Fusion Hybrid
Staking their claim in the newly developing world of green tuning is M&J Enterprises, which aims to show that customization and eco-friendliness are not mutually exclusive with their Fusion Hybrid. The add-ons include air splitters, heat-reflective paint and window film, and a vehicle data display for fine-tuning your driving. All of the upgrades are designed to be either more aerodynamic or lighter than the parts they replace or remove petroleum-based products from the car. Two-tone black and silver paint with green accents help the Fusion Hybrid stand out from the crowd while staying as friendly as possible to the environment.
Creations n' Chrome Ford Focus
Next up are a pair of Focuses, the first from Creations n' Chrome. Underneath the metallic green paint is an FSWerks turbo kit and an H&R suspension. A new body kit and Taurus SHO-esque wheels complete the exterior package while newly painted trim and Katzkin leather update the interior.

Going to a much further extreme is FSWerks itself, which has built a 500-hp Focus. We're not sure how they did it, but forced induction is a good guess. A new front splitter has been added and the car appears to be lowered, but that's all we can see beneath the black paint. Gold wheels finish the look.
