Hyundai Genesis Coupe Concepts

At last year's SEMA Show, Hyundai went full steam ahead in partnering with specific tuners to demonstrate its new Genesis Sedan and Coupe's abilities to be used as performance car platforms. This year is no different, with various outfits grabbing hold of the Genesis for their product showcasing.
With a highly-tunable 2.0L turbo four-cylinder or a smooth 3.8L V-6 onboard the Coupe, and either a 3.8L V-6 or 4.6L V-8 under the sedan's hood, matched with some striking styling, it's no surprise the model has been a hit with the aftermarket. Here are a few Genesis standouts that caught our eyes.

Drifting, rallying, and performance-tuning guru Rhys Millen will debut his 500-hp Genesis Coupe with a Tau V-8 set in its belly. The mid-engine monster has a claimed top speed of 182 mph and sports a full suspension upgrade from KW Suspension, 20-in. HRE Wheels, and a bespoke RMR body kit. There's even a clear rear hatch so that passersby can check out the fully built performance motor.

This rear-wheel-drive turbocharged Korean coupe makes a handy 350 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque thanks to Japanese tuner Greddy, who's upgraded all the right stuff. A bigger turbo with front mount intercoolers, SE Spectrum Elite cat-back exhaust system, MX racing downpipe, adjustable coil-over suspension, and six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers all combine to create an impressive tuner two-door. Volk racing wheels shod in Toyo rubber and a custom aerodynamic kit culminate the enhancements for this round. After the show, Greddy has plans for a 500-hp edition.
